What the Better Scores Program Is
The Better Scores Program is a performance-driven coaching program built specifically for adult golfers who are ready to move from playing decent golf to consistently scoring better. This program exists to address the gap many adult players face: solid ball-striking in practice that doesn’t translate to lower scores on the course.
This is not a swing rebuild or a quick-fix lesson series. The focus is on learning how to play the game more effectively by improving scoring awareness, decision-making, and execution under pressure. Players are coached to understand how and why strokes are lost and how to eliminate common scoring mistakes that keep rounds stuck in the high 80s and low 90s.
Training combines technical refinement where needed, structured practice with clear intent, and on-course application that mirrors real playing conditions. Players are challenged to perform, adapt, and think through situations rather than simply hitting balls or chasing mechanical changes.
The Better Scores Program provides clarity, accountability, and a repeatable process for improvement. It is designed for adults who are willing to practice with purpose, play with intention, and commit to the habits required to score better golf.
Who THIS Program Is For
The Better Scores Program is built for adult golfers who already have a baseline level of ball striking skill and are frustrated by inconsistent scoring. This program is not about learning a beautiful golf swing, it’s about learning how to play better golf when it matters.
This program is a strong fit for adult players who practice regularly, play consistently, and believe they are capable of lower scores but struggle to make that jump on the course. Many participants feel stuck in the high 80s, low 90s, or just trying to break 100 for the first time despite putting in time and effort, often because practice lacks structure or on-course decisions cost unnecessary strokes.
Players in this program are willing to be coached, challenged, and held accountable. They understand that breaking scoring barriers requires more than just better ball-striking, it requires better decisions, sharper focus, and the ability to manage pressured misses during a round.
The Better Scores Program is not designed for beginners or casual golfers looking for occasional instruction. It is for adults who are committed to improving their scoring, open to refining both skills and habits, and ready to approach the game with more intention and discipline.
How the Better Scores Program Works
The Better Scores Program uses a coaching model that blends skill refinement, purposeful practice, and on-course application so improvement translates directly to scoring. Each component of the program is designed to eliminate wasted effort and focus attention on the areas that have the greatest impact on performance.
Coaching sessions focus on identifying where strokes are being lost and addressing those areas with intention. Technical work is targeted and efficient, aimed at improving consistency and shot outcomes rather than overhauling mechanics. Players are coached to understand their tendencies, manage their misses, and develop solutions they can trust on the course.
Practice is structured and purposeful. Players are given clear practice objectives, constraints, and challenges that simulate on-course pressure. Rather than simply hitting balls, players learn how to train with accountability and track progress in ways that matter to scoring.
On-course application is a key component of the program. Players learn how to make better decisions, manage risk, and execute shots under real playing conditions. Coaching emphasizes course strategy, emotional control, and situational awareness so skills hold up during competition or meaningful rounds.
The combination of coaching, structured practice, and on-course application creates a repeatable process for improvement. Players leave with clarity around what to work on, how to practice effectively, and how to apply those skills when scoring matters most.
Core Focus Areas
Scoring First, Not Swing First
The Better Scores Program prioritizes scoring performance over perfect mechanics. While skill refinement is addressed when needed, the primary focus is on reducing wasted strokes. Players learn which parts of their game most directly influence scoring and how to allocate their practice time accordingly. The goal is not to look better on video, but to shoot lower numbers on the scorecard.
Decision-Making & Course Strategy
Many adult golfers lose strokes due to poor decisions rather than poor swings. This program places a strong emphasis on shot selection, target choice, and risk management. Players learn how to play to their strengths, avoid high-cost mistakes, and make decisions that lead to more consistent scoring, especially under pressure.
Managing Misses & Controlling Variance
Better Scores requires the ability to manage imperfect shots. Players are coached to understand their tendencies, plan for realistic outcomes, and respond effectively when shots don’t go as planned. Learning how to control scoring variance and limit big numbers is a critical component of the program.
Purposeful Practice Under Pressure
Practice in the Better Scores Program is intentional and performance-based. Players train with specific objectives, constraints, and challenges that mirror on-course situations. This helps bridge the gap between range performance and real golf, ensuring skills hold up when scoring matters.
Mental Game & Emotional Control
Consistent scoring requires the ability to stay composed, focused, and committed throughout a round. Players work on routines, emotional regulation, and staying present after mistakes. The goal is to improve resilience and decision-making so one bad shot doesn’t derail an entire round.
Benefits & Outcomes
The Better Scores Program helps adult golfers move from inconsistent scoring to predictable, repeatable performance. Players gain clarity around what actually impacts their scores and stop wasting time on changes that don’t translate to better results on the course.
As the program progresses, players develop greater confidence in their decision-making and shot selection. They learn how to manage pressure, respond to mistakes without spiraling, and maintain focus throughout an entire round. This leads to fewer big numbers, more scoring opportunities, and improved consistency from round to round.
Players also gain a clear practice framework. Instead of guessing what to work on, they leave each session knowing exactly how to train, why they’re training it, and how it connects to scoring. This creates more efficient practice and faster improvement without increasing total practice time.
Ultimately, the outcome of the Better Scores Program is not just lower scores, but a more complete understanding of how to play the game. Players finish the program with the confidence, structure, and habits needed to continue improving and maintain performance beyond the coaching environment.

Before You Join
The Better Scores Program is designed for adult golfers who already have a functional swing and are committed to improving their scoring. Players should be comfortable getting the ball around the course and typically find themselves scoring in the low 100s, 90s or flirting with the 80s, but struggling to make that next jump consistently.
Players are expected to practice and play between coaching sessions. The program does not require excessive time, but it does require intention. Most players find that focused, efficient practice guided by the program fits well alongside work and family commitments.
This program places a strong emphasis on transferring skills to the course. While range work is used when appropriate, much of the coaching centers on decision making, shot execution, and managing real playing situations. The goal is to improve how you score, not just how you swing.
Support does not stop when sessions end. Players are encouraged to ask questions, share challenges, and stay engaged through the private Circle Community. Coaching continues between sessions so players are never guessing what to work on or how to apply what they have learned.
The Better Scores Program is not a beginner program, a swing rebuild, or a drop in lesson series. It is a focused, time bound coaching experience for adult golfers who are ready to be challenged and committed to playing better golf.

BB Golf Academy Coaching Philosophy
At BB Golf Academy, we believe real improvement comes from a holistic approach to the game. Golf is not just about how a swing looks. It is about learning how to score, compete, adapt, and grow as a player over time. The best players are remembered for their ability to post low scores and perform under pressure, not for perfect mechanics on the range.
Our goal is to develop golfers who are competitive, self aware, and capable of improving long after formal coaching ends. Everything we do is built around four core pillars that guide development at every stage.
1. Competitive Mindset
Golf is an emotional game, especially when results matter. We teach players how to manage themselves before, during, and after each shot. This includes controlling emotions after mistakes, using consistent routines, staying present under pressure, and building confidence through preparation and repetition. A strong mindset allows players to trust their skills when it matters most.
2. Scoring and the Real Game of Golf
Golf is a game of misses. Great players do not eliminate mistakes, they manage them better than everyone else. We train players to make smart decisions on the course, avoid big numbers, recover effectively, and choose targets that match their skill level. Simple stat tracking is used to identify where strokes are truly being lost so practice and coaching stay focused on what matters most.
3. Purposeful Practice
Practice only works when it has intention. We teach players how to practice with structure, accountability, and pressure. Players learn how to organize weekly practice, use challenges that simulate competition, track results, and build habits that translate from the range to the course. Practice becomes a tool for measurable improvement, not just repetition.
4. Skill Development That Is Progressive and Personal
We focus on the skills each player needs right now. Not information overload. Development follows a clear progression so learning stays productive, enjoyable, and sustainable. Every player is different, and coaching is adjusted to meet the individual while still following a proven developmental framework.
At BB Golf Academy, our mission is to develop better golfers and better competitors by teaching skills that last, habits that transfer, and a mindset built for long term success.
