WHO THIS IS FOR

The high school golfer ready to compete to win.

You're on the team. You're showing up to matches. But you know there's a gap between where your game is and where it needs to be to compete at the top of the leaderboard. This program closes that gap.

Weekly group coaching, private lessons with a dedicated coach, and a structured program built around your high school schedule — from April through winter.

You're on or near the varsity squad Boys shooting under 85, girls under 100, from your high school tees. You've earned your spot — now let's make you dangerous.
You want to score lower and compete harder Showing up isn't enough anymore. You're ready to build the strategy, skills, and mental game to actually contend.
You're coachable and committed You're motivated, receptive, and ready to do the work between sessions. You understand that improvement takes time and consistency.
Not a beginner building fundamentals This program assumes you can play. If you're still developing the basics, one of our other programs is a better fit right now.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

Built to develop complete competitive players.

Two types of coaching, working together every week. Group sessions build on-course skills and strategy. Private lessons build the individual swing. Neither works as well without the other.

Group Sessions

Weekly coaching in a tight pod of three players. One week on the course working on strategy, course management, and situational play. The next week in Purposeful Practice working on swing, short game, and skill development. Every week, building a more complete game.

Alternating on-course & Purposeful Practice

Private Lessons

Your designated swing coach, one-on-one, every month. Same coach, every time — no reassignments. Choose one, two, or three 45-minute sessions per month depending on your tier. This is where your individual game gets undivided attention.

High School Season

The program is built around your high school schedule. Spring and fall sessions move to Saturdays to work alongside — not against — your team commitments. Your development doesn't stop when the school season starts.

INSIDE THE PROGRAM

What a coached week actually looks like.

Every week from April 15 through October 15, your group has a coached session. The format alternates — one week on the course, the next in Purposeful Practice.

On-Course Session
2 hours · 9 holes with your coach

Your group plays 9 holes with your coach. This is active, on-course coaching — strategy, course management, shot selection, and situational decision-making in real time. After the front nine, your coach steps off and your group continues to the back nine together. You apply everything you just worked on, without a safety net. That's the point.

Players play a full 18 holes every on-course week — 9 coached, 9 applied.
Purposeful Practice
1 hour · Focused skill work

One focused hour of coached practice — swing work, short game, launch monitor, and skill-specific drills designed around what your game needs most. After the session wraps, players are highly encouraged to go play 18 holes together as a group. The practice means more when you take it straight to the course.

18 holes after Purposeful Practice is highly encouraged. Players go out together as a group.

This two-week rotation runs April 15 through October 15. Winter sessions move indoors to our simulator setup — see the schedule section below for full details on how the program runs year-round.

GROUP SESSION SCHEDULE

Built around your school year.

Group coaching sessions run April 15 through October 15 outdoors, then pick back up indoors approximately November 15 through March 1. Spring and fall sessions are on Saturdays to work around the high school season.

Days

Sessions move to Saturdays in spring to work alongside the high school golf season — keeping your team commitments intact while keeping your development on track.

Format

Alternating on-course and Purposeful Practice weeks. Spring is a great time to build momentum as the competitive season ramps up.

Schedule Note

Saturdays are intentional — they keep this program from competing with your high school team schedule. Exact times confirmed at the start of the season.

Sessions Included
On-course Purposeful Practice Private Lessons
Days

Sessions move to weekday mornings or early afternoons — taking advantage of school being out and peak playing conditions at The Creek.

Format

Same alternating weekly rotation. Summer is peak development season — maximum reps, maximum time on course, and no school schedule to work around.

Schedule Note

Exact days and times communicated before summer begins. Morning and early afternoon slots are prioritized for cooler conditions and course availability.

Sessions Included
On-course Purposeful Practice Private Lessons
Days

Back to Saturdays in fall — working around the high school season schedule and school-week commitments.

Format

Same alternating rotation through October 15. Fall is a strong time to consolidate the summer's work and build momentum heading into the indoor season.

Schedule Note

Fall timing is structured to complement — not compete with — the high school golf season. Schedule confirmed before fall opens.

Sessions Included
On-course Purposeful Practice Private Lessons
When

Indoor sessions run approximately November 15 through March 1. Start and end dates float slightly each year based on course conditions and simulator setup.

Format

All sessions move indoors to our simulator setup inside the restaurant at The Creek. Alternating weeks — one focused on swing and ball flight data, the next on short game, putting, and sim course play.

Why Winter Matters

Most high school golfers in Spokane go dark in winter. The ones who don't come back sharper in spring. Consistent reps through the offseason is one of the clearest separators between players who plateau and players who improve.

Sessions Included
Indoor Simulator Swing & Data Work Private Lessons
November and March are transition months — expect a reduced and variable schedule. These are the gray zones on both ends of winter. We'd rather be upfront about that than have you wonder what's going on.
November

The golf course hasn't fully closed yet, so outdoor sessions may continue early in the month. Once the course closes, simulators go up — setup takes about a week. Indoor sessions typically begin around November 15th.

March

The course is opening back up and simulators are coming down. Everything is in flux. Outdoor sessions resume once the course is ready — typically after March 1st, depending on conditions and setup time.

What You Can Count On

Your private lessons continue as normal through both shoulder months regardless of group session availability. One-on-one coaching is never disrupted.

Private Lessons
How We Handle It

We communicate proactively. You'll always know what's happening before the week arrives — no surprises, no finding out day-of that a session is off.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM PLAYERS

This program has standards.

We're putting real time, attention, and energy into every player in this program. We expect you to meet us with the same. A spot here is earned — and it's maintained.

If a player isn't meeting expectations, we'll have a direct conversation first. If things don't change, that spot will go to someone who's ready for it. That's not a threat — it's how we protect the environment for everyone in the program.

Show up. Consistent attendance is non-negotiable. Unexcused absences have consequences.
Come ready to work. Full effort, every session. Disengagement and refusal to follow instruction are unacceptable.
Stay competitive. Keep competing in tournaments. That's the whole point of this program.
Be coachable. Be receptive, ask questions, and do the work between sessions. Improvement is a long-term process — trust it.
Respect the group. Three players means one person's attitude affects everyone. Support your pod.

Code of conduct

Non-negotiable standards.

Participation in BB Golf Academy is conditional upon strict adherence to the following standards. These are enforced at the sole discretion of the coach.

Respect — Mandatory

Toward yourself, other players, coaches, and all staff at The Creek at Qualchan. Disrespectful language, tone, or behavior will not be tolerated.

Honesty — Non-Negotiable

Golf is a self-governed game. Miscounting strokes, improving lies, or misrepresenting actions violates Academy standards. Full stop.

Work Ethic — Expected Standard

Greatness is not given — it is earned through consistent effort, discipline, and commitment. Improvement is a long-term process. Lack of effort or repeated disengagement is unacceptable.

Team Conduct — Required

Actively support and encourage others. Negative, disruptive, or selfish behavior that harms the training environment will not be tolerated.

Zero-Tolerance — Anti-Bullying

Bullying, harassment, intimidation, or exclusion of any kind is strictly prohibited. Any confirmed incident will result in immediate removal from the program without refund.

Enforcement: Failure to comply with any of the above may result in immediate dismissal from the program without refund. No warnings are required prior to enforcement.

DRESS CODE

Look like a golfer.

Tournament golf has dress standards. Showing up looking like a competitor is part of the mindset we're building here. Players are expected to arrive to every session dressed appropriately for competitive golf.

Required

Collared shirt, mock-neck, or golf-appropriate athletic top — including sleeveless tops and athletic dresses designed for golf
Shirts tucked in where the garment is designed for it
Golf shorts, pants, skort, or golf dress/skirt of appropriate length
Golf shoes or clean athletic shoes appropriate for the course
Hat or visor worn forward

Not Permitted

Tank tops, crop tops, or casual sleeveless shirts not designed for golf
Denim of any kind
Athletic shorts, basketball shorts, or cutoffs
Hats worn backward or sideways
Torn, oversized, or non-golf athletic wear
Headphones or earbuds during sessions

The standard is intent — is the garment designed for golf? If a player arrives out of dress code, they'll be asked to correct it before the session begins. Repeated violations will be addressed as a conduct matter.

COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQ

Everything parents ask before signing up.

  • Reach out to us through the contact form on this page. We'll set up a short call to learn more about your player — their game, their competition history, and what they're looking for. If it's a good fit on both sides, we'll talk about available spots and next steps. There's no formal audition, but we do want to make sure every player we bring in is ready for this level of commitment.

  • We build the pods. Groups are assembled based on skill level, age, and schedule compatibility. We don't allow players to self-select their groups — the goal is to create pods where everyone is challenged and no one is carrying the group. That said, if you have a specific concern about grouping, bring it up during your consultation and we'll talk through it.

  • Life happens — we get it. If a session is missed with advance notice, we'll do our best to communicate what was covered so your player isn't lost the following week. However, missed sessions are not made up individually and are not credited or refunded. Consistent attendance is an expectation of the program, and repeated unexcused absences will be addressed directly.

  • Yes. You can move up or down between tiers at any time. Just let us know before the 25th of the month — that's when billing is reviewed and adjusted. Billing runs automatically on the 1st, so any tier change requested after the 25th will take effect the following month.

  • No formal tryout. We rely on your tournament scoring history, a conversation with you and your player, and our own judgment. If you're actively competing and averaging 85 or better from your division tees, you likely qualify. The consultation call is where we figure out the rest.

  • On-course sessions are held at The Creek at Qualchan Golf Course in Spokane. It's our home course and the facility our program is built around.

  • Our indoor sessions take place inside the restaurant at The Creek at Qualchan using our simulator setup. We use the simulators for swing and ball flight work, short game, putting, and on-screen course play. Specific simulator hardware details are available on request.

  • If a coach leaves, we will reassign your player to another coach on our staff as quickly as possible and communicate that transition directly. We won't leave a player without a designated coach. We understand continuity matters — it's one of the core promises of this program — and we take that seriously.

  • This program has a 2-month minimum commitment, then continues month-to-month. There is a program agreement that outlines the terms, including our policies around dismissal. We don't offer refunds for missed sessions or early cancellation within the minimum period outside of extenuating circumstances, which are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions about the agreement before signing, ask during your consultation and we'll walk through it with you.
